The Ter Antonyan Family

My family’s migration story to the United States starts with me. When it comes to family photographs, what can I say. I have very few. My grandparents are survivors of the Armenian Genocide of 1915. They fled from Western to Eastern Armenia. From the cities of Ani and Van to Yeravan. They escaped barefooted with barely clothes on their shoulders. Only to be persecuted later, along with millions of others, by the Soviet Communists. I started my life here in 2001, with $104 to my name.
