The Vitiello Family

Antonio and Maria, known for their vitality and intelligence, provided a home for ten children and extended family. Unusual for Italian immigrants at the time, three of their children held Master degrees and were notoriously progressive thinkers in the Newark, NJ, teaching community. For this family, education was key. We remember grandpa as a widower in the 1960s–stately in the old suit he used to wear to his barbershop.
